In 2009, him! launched it’s High Street Programme.

Now in it's 3rd year in Australia the High Street programme will have spoken to almost 9,000 shoppers. These conversations were held in the stores at ‘the moment-of-truth’ as shoppers were about to start their shop or once they had just finished.

As this shopping experience is fresh in their minds it allows us to better advise and consult with the retailers and their suppliers on what their shoppers want.

In this study we looked at:

  • Shopper missions
  • Shopper profiles/demographics
  • What’s important to the shopper
  • Weekly visit frequency
  • Spend per trip
  • Intended category purchases v what was actually bought
  • Number of items purchased
  • Shopper ratings for
    • value for money
    • service speed
    • staff friendliness
    • product availability
    • store cleanliness
    • the fresh offer
  • Areas for improvement
  • Awareness of, and participation in promotions
